It has been widely reported that Adam Michael Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, is
among the survivors of a private plane crash in South Carolina. Also, surviving the crash is Goldstein's sometime
musical collaborator, drummer Travis Barker. Four others are reported to have died in
the accident. The Los Angeles Times has the details of the tragedy here.
In addition to being a resident DJ at Pure at Caesars, Goldstein is an
investor in LAX at Luxor. Pure Management Group which operates both clubs issued
the following statement to me a few minutes ago:
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to both Adam and Travis. The PMG family is deeply saddened by the news of this unfortunate event and we wish Adam and Travis a speedy recovery and send our sincere condolences to the families who lost loved ones."
Goldstein's event with DJ Jazzy Jeff at PURE scheduled for next Tuesday has
been canceled. The Buffet will update you when more information becomes
available.
