California sheriff at Vegas brothel?
"Munks called the incident a 'personal embarrassment' and apologized today to sheriff's officials, the county and his family for his 'lack of personal judgment.'
'I believed I was going to a legitimate business,' Munks said, reading from a written statement. 'It was not.'
Munks said he and Bolanos were both questioned by authorities and released. Bolanos was still outside the establishment when it was raided, Munks said.
'I would not, nor did I, break any laws,' Munks said. 'Neither did the undersheriff.'
He declined to answer questions."
I bet he did. Come on! This crime fighter allegedly goes to a massage parlor near the Strip on Saturday night and he expects, what, a massage?

I bet those Calif. cops were going there for a "happy ending" !!!

"Police raided eight homes and apartments in the area of Arville Street and Spring Mountain Road." http://www.lvrj.com/news/7164646.html

If they raided homes and apts, where is the "legitimate" looking business?

Hey Sarah, check out this report from Channel 8/LasVegasnow.com:

According to KLAS, the undersheriff Bolanos offered this explanation: "Sheriff Munks asked the limo driver to take him to a massage parlor because he was sore from a law enforcement run he'd just done. Bolanos says he never went inside the brothel and quickly realized the place was not legal and he was in the process of leaving when the raid happened." I like that he says he wasn't there and he was leaving. Good trick. Yrs., Richard

Well if he asked for a massage parlor and the limo drove him to a residence then his story is more believable, but maybe I am just being naive.

Let's imagine the most naive person in the world with a male friend on Saturday night in Vegas asking the limo driver to take them to a massage parlor. And, wouldn't a private residence operating as a "massage parlor" be even more suspicious? Of course, I don't have the law enforcement background and savvy of a sheriff. Las Vegas, Saturday night, massage parlor. I am doing my simple math with the new numbers but the equation keeps working out the same way. Yrs., Richard

The local station KLAS acually broke the Sheriff and Undersheriff being at the massage parlor. The local media did not omit that fact, you just weren't watching.

Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
