Maloof Has It All: Hamburgers, Bordeaux and Paris

October 16, 2006 | 12:07 pm

OK, that commercial of Paris Hilton eating a Carl's Jr. hamburger had a no way factor equal to a James Bond stunt. Now comes the Maloof brothers in their own commercial for the fast food chain. But that is not all. According to the press release, the wealthy brothers made a discovery while slumming out eating the Six Dollar Burger:

"It turns out that a 24-year-old bottle of French Bordeaux pairs nicely with Angus beef, fresh produce, melted American cheese and a fresh, sesame seed bun. The Carl's Jr. and Hardee's signature Six Dollar Burger now makes its debut on the Palms room service menu with French fries and a $6,000 bottle of Bordeaux. It's burgers, Palms-style, with the $6,000 Combo Meal."

Golly, what a stroke of genius, burgers and Bordeaux!

Meanwhile, two of the hamburger spokesmodels, George Maloof and Paris Hilton, were seen playing blackjack together at the Mirage Sunday in the wee-small hours of the morning. By one account, Maloof won more than $100,000.

Sounds a perfect combo especially if you have just won 100K and shared a table with the lovely Paris. I would however suggest holding
the pickle though as the vinegar within will overwhelm the tastebuds and mar the experience of a superb Bordeaux. That would be a shame.
