Back in the Day: Senator Reid vs. Lefty
"Replete in yellow porkpie hat placed at a jaunty angle, yellow suit, off-yellow necktie, and ascot, Rosenthal attacked the Gaming Commission's chairman, Harry Reid...Rosenthal accused Reid of a range of duplicity, smirking for the camera, swearing and belligerently threatening, not only the commission, but a county commissioner, members of the governor's staff, and members of the press.... When a reporter began to query the defensive and clearly uncomfortable Reid about the allegations, Rosenthal cut off the question with one of his own that was designed not to incriminate Reid, as had the reporter's question, but to have Reid withdraw the characterization of Rosenthal as a liar. Vain, arrogant and clearly wounded by the decision, Rosenthal cared only about vindication, not about exposing the manifestations of the corruption he alleged"

Looks like 'Ol Harry is still tangling with corruption...but the current administration makes the mob look like amateurs!

Unfortunately, you did not look at the whole tape, which I have. Reid's only "lie" was that he had never met Rosenthal. Lefty wanted him to admit that he had met him. Reid said he had lunch once at the Stardust and Rosenthal was wandering around the room. Of course, the right-wing bloggers would happily claim this as evidence of corruption because they are interested not in facts, but in ignoring the truth to create more heat than light. Which would describe the above entry in this usually more careful blog.

Isn't it true that I comped you two or three times a month Mr. Reid?
