In his column in the "Review-Journal" entertainment reporter Mike Weatherford ferrets out some details of Simon Cowell's Las Vegas plans while interviewing a Vice President of Fremantle Media:
"Fremantle is partnering with 'American Idol' mastermind Simon Cowell on an NBC summer series based on the British show 'Got Talent.' Asked about conflicting reports as to how much the show would involve Las Vegas, Hindle said the producers are still 'working through the format.' It sounds like the plan is to audition acts in cities outside of Las Vegas, and then have the semifinalists come here to compete for a headlining gig."
