Titus and Ryan Fighting Extradition

In the above story you mentioned that Criag Titus had shaved his head and Kelly Ryan had dyed her hair. That is nothing new. You make it sound like they were trying to hide who they were. Craig Titus has had a shaved head for a while now. Kelly Ryan has also been known to dye her hair. What you are doing is comparing the way they appear now to the way they looked in all of the photos that have been shown in the news. Those pictures are a few years old now. Titus was looking huge in that picture and nothing like how he looks now. If they had printed an up to date picture you wouldn't even be mentioning how "Titus had shaved his head" as if you are trying to make it sound like he changed his look so he wouldn't be recognized. If you believe that the photo of Craig Titus shown on the different news sites to show people what he looked like was a recent picture then how do you explain the difference in muscle mass? You can't just lose that amount of size over night.

I just have to comment on this story. Who are these people who are claiming to be friends. I don't believe anyone would say that about craig.... I still havent seen any names of these so called FRIENDS. They seem to always have something negative to say. I am a true friend and I will say that he would never hurt anyone. They were on vacation for the holidays. How do you get off judging them anyways????? Do you know what they were doing or know them personally????? I highly doubt it. I mean dont they deserve a fair trial? Are we so rapped up in wanting to get a story that we have to dog everyone who may be involved???? They are innocent until proven guilty right??????

I think we all need to remember "innocent until proven guilty" Craig & Kelly deserve a fair trial just like anyone else. I have met Craig on a few occasions and can only say he was polite & kind to me. He had my daughter working for him at Ice Gear for awhile and seemed like a professional. I wish Craig & Kelly the best and again we shouldn't judge they deserve a fair trial, hopefully the truth will surface.

Here is the name of the friend, as appeared in the Las Vegas article, had you read it:

And then he goes on to make the comment that Craig would have used his hands rather than anything else, which is SURE to help their case. Did they do? That's for a jury to decide. But it sure is supicious for their former assistant, which Craig was allegedly having an affair with, is found strangled and crispy-fried (by a friend of the couple) while they are across the country with a wad of cash, getting ready to leave the country. And if they are "Ready to come back.", why are they fighting extradition? Wouldn't they be anxious to clear their name?
Also, if they did do it and were on the lam, why the hell did Kelly want to stop for a PEDICURE??? I'm a bodybuilder too, but even I know that's dumb.

Usually, the state arrests ( or stops) the suspect offender only if it feels it has enough probable cause to do so. True, the couple is not guilty until tried in a court of law and convicted. But, on the outset, it doesn't look good for either of them and the emotional explosions of so called "friends" cannot change that fact. Personally, I was devastated to hear the bad news. I wrote Craig years ago when he was imprisoned before and he wrote a really nice letter in return. Since then, I 've been watching his progress from time to time and wishing him well. I still wish him well. What is the lesson that anyone of us can learn from this? Perhaps it is this: to ask God's help to lead our thoughts intelligently and to commit to the life principle of not ever doing to others what we would not want for ourselves and to be ready to account for our conduct when we offend.

That's why I say never trust anyone. You never know!! I have looked up to Kelly Ryan for 11 years now,I am highly disappointed in what I am hearing. I do believe in guilty until proven innocent but......they are hiding something. What about the woman they killed doesn't anyone have anything to say about her family losing her.....during the most family oriented season of the year????? Don't back someone up because you met them "on occasions" that's just ridiculous people. If we just trust people like this how are we supposed to keep our children safe?? I would like to comment on how the mainstream media is going to blow up this whole issue of steroids with Titus. No matter what his lawyers are going to claim, this has nothing to do with being "under the influence of steroids." I don't know how many here have actually used them or have even seen them up close, but take it from someone who has used- "Roid Rage" is a myth- if u are a jerk before u take them, ur going to be a jerk while u take them. They are not physically addictive, but mentally addictive because of the gains they bring. All of those reports that you hear of bodybuilders who died "because of steroids" are untrue, they either had a pre-existing heart condition or they used recreational drugs on top of steroids. Steroids are going to be blamed for this and bodybuilding is going to have a bigger image crisis than it already has. If people are going to claim that steroids made him commit a crime..then I guess all of those great sports stars that our children look up to are murderers in their own way. GIVE US BODYBUILDERS A BREAK IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF STEROIDS. How about we go after the real problems of REAL drugs and guns on our streets instead of being "Arm-Chair Experts" on steroids because we watched an episode of the Evening News hosted by someone who hasn't lifted a weight in their life. I met them both and spend time daily with them. There Real friends know who they are and you know who you are. I am not even a friend merely a person who has met them and had many conversations with them both over a period of two and a Half years. They both change there hair styles frequently as well. For those of you who are just awhh struck that this has happen to such a great couple. I Pray for the truth nothing less....please remember it is hard when theres a lot of hear say or rumors. I am a firm believer in "innocent until proven guilty" by your peers. I've read everything about this crime since it has come to light. Sure, the media can be misleading and they can also be ahead of themselves and sound "guilty until proven innocent." But I have to say, it sure doesn't look good so far!It's common for people who have committed murder to torch the corpse and crime scene to hide evidence, the fact it was their vehicle is bad in itself, and to have 2 different stories about what vehicle they drove her to the store in sure doesn't help their case! I agree some yahoo will bring up the steroid thing, but realistically it doesn't matter if it was a factor or not...excuses, excuses...driving drunk, beating someone as a gang because of peer pressure, 'roid rage, heat of passion murder - it still equals one thing! Someone is dead because of the actions. Do I think they did it? I wouldn't know because I wasn't there and I haven't heard any direct evidence. Right now it is mostly hearsay. Until they get good solid forensic evidence which is 100% accurate or they confess - only Titus and Ryan know the truth at this point. I wish them all the luck in the world IF they are innocent, but IF they did do it...they should be punished just like everyone else! My thoughts and prayers go out to the James' family for their loss...28 is much to young to die...and nobody should die like that either...

i don't believe anyone should be accusing these two people of anything until they are proven guilty in a court of law. As for as i am concerned they are only suspects, anyone else is as guilty as they are at this point.

I'm a senior district attorney and fitness addict and I've prosecuted well over 20 murder cases and hundreds of violent crime cases. True, people are innocent UNDER THE LAW until proven guilty, but that doesn't mean that a guilty person is innocent just because they have not yet been proven guilty in a court of law.

And the facts here are pretty bad. Not so much for Kelly - seems like so far, unless Anthony Gross flips and cooperates with the police to reveal more info. than what the media has reported so far....Kelly right now just seems like an accessory after the fact (a misdemeanor in most cases). But, she also is a spineless woman with no morals and a huge disappointment. I've been big into fitness women for several years now...I have read a ton of articles on lifting by Ms. Ryan - she's one of a handful of fitness role models for the busy woman....but who cares now...the fact that she would assist her husband in torching a car....and either (1) not care or (2) not have a clue about what is up...geez.

And as for Mr. Titus...He had motive, opportunity and means - he was with Ms. James, she had fabric AROUND HER NECK.....and DUCT TAPE ON HER MOUTH! You don't put duct tape on someone's mouth AFTER THEY ARE DEAD...b/c there is no danger of them screaming. You put duct tape on their mouth WHEN YOU DON'T WANT ANYONE TO HEAR THEM SCREAM! The existence of the tape on her mouth shows premeditation and amounts to a heartless killing. I can't believe he was so stupid to leave the tape on her mouth. Again - that shows premeditation which equals FIRST DEGREE MURDER.

What a worthless piece of crap Mr. Titus is. Who gives a rat's ASS if he was "NICE TO PEOPLE." Every single murderer I've every prosecuted has been able to put people on the stand to say "BUT HE WAS NICE TO ME!" Geez. Get a grip people. A woman was killed. IN cold blood. i met craig titus a few years back at the arnold classic,he seemed like a very nice person.but what people fail to realize is good people can also do bad things.i hope mr.titus is not guilty of this crime for his sake.seems like this could qualify for 1st degree murder. all people are innocent untill proven guilty,good luck craig

I did know Craig and Kelly personally. We worked out at the same gym, knew (know) the same people.

Kelly and Craig were always respectful to me in and out of the gym. Craig gave me some awesome training tips. Kelly always stopped and said hello when she was in the gym, she even gave my girlfriend at the time some awesome words of encouragement.

I am a bodybuilder and I dont want to see our circles hurt by these events.

I too, looked up to Kelly and Craig..and in many ways I still do.

I pray that they didnt have anything to do with this. Is it possible? Certainly.

Do we..the people who know them have an opinion? Certainly.. However, my opinion is nobodys business and I am not going to sling mud for the media.

I was just on Fox 11 live this morning, and I spoke to the compassion we should have for all of the families and people who are touched by this entire situation.

When tragic events happen in your back yard it is very hard to swallow.

I will wait for more info to come out, but I will not roast the couple in public, nor will I ignore the possibilites.

good lord! another bodybuilder gone bad? can it be? being a once avid bodybuilder and having my own personal problems i can see how psychiatry has a field day with this narcissistic pastime. roid rage? maybe. the majority of bodybuilders have emotional issues to start with .it's a proven fact. do some research. and the majority of them who i have met have no brains as well! most men already have too much testosterone flowing thru their veins. they don't need any more. i say from what i have heard and seen, i'm not surprised in the least if they are guilty. it's not looking good for them.

First, let me say....you never REALLY know anyone. Murderers come in every shape and size and from every walk of life (statistically, most of them don't use steriods or even work out). I grew up with a kid who everyone who EVER knew him would say was the sweetest, kindest and most compassionate person they knew. He was extremely popular because he was nice to everyone and very good looking. He was two years ahead of me in high school and was friends with my boyfriend, but he was nice to even the most sullen outcast. We ended up at the same college and though we ran in different circles, he never failed to call me to see if I wanted a to share the 3 hour ride back home on the weekends. Didn't even ask me to pay for gas. The heater didn't work great in the car so he asked me to hold his pet guinea pig so it wouldn't get cold. Sound like a murderer so far? Well, long story short....after college he married and had a good job and when he was 25, his wife came to him an told him she was leaving him for someone else. That night he threw a sheet over her and beat her to death with a sledge hammer in their bed. I learned that anyone is capable of anything given the circumstances.
Regarding the crime in question...It could have been Kelly, it could have been Craig, it could have been your uncle but it will come out. So long as they don't screw this investigation up by focusing ONLY on the two known suspects. Hopefully, someone will have a bout with their conscience and start talking.

I must say it does not currently look very good for the two of them. Everyone should take a step back and take a break. Don't get cought up in the media hype because all they shoot for is a story to keep your interest (accuracy is not their main focus). Don't always believe what the media says, prints, or shows on TV. What most people do not truly understand about our criminal justice system is there is usually real evidence, witnesses, statements, etc that will direct focus on suspects and this eventually leads to the arrest of suspects of crimes. Let them have their days in court and let a jury (you and me) review the evidence against them and decide. If they are guilty it will be another example of two wasted lives and one sadly destroyed.

I have read a bit about this story, while I am not saying they are guilty or innocent, I will say that the evidence does not look good. Someone had mentioned early that if they were guilty why would Kelly be getting a pedicure. Considering that Melissa James an employee, and possibly a friend, was found bound and strangled in their burned out car, I would think that if innocent, they would be so distraught that the last thing on her mind would be getting a pedicure, or dying her hair for that matter. Also it seems that since they were being questioned in this matter they would notify the authorities of plans to leave the area. Since they can be considered role models to childrens and teens, they should be doing everything possible to clear their names and not be fighting extradition. As far as people saying, "They are very nice people", and "they were nice to me". You hear those kinds of things all the time from friends and neighbors of people accused of crimes. Everyone who knew Scott Peterson said he was such a nice guy and their marriage seemed so strong. We know how that turned out. I am not saying that they are guilty, but accusing someone of a crime is just that an accusation, not a verdict of guilt. I am wondering if they are found guilty, will fans continue to say they are innocent and the trial was unfair or the evidence was tainted? I am thinking about the poor victim of the crime and I look back at the OJ Simpson trial and hate to think that their quazi-celebrity status or good looks would sway the jury in either way. It is a sad truth that sometimes otherwise good people do bad things, and if it is proven that they are guilty, we have to accept that and hopefully learn from it.

Simbasa, you're an idiot. I'd like for you to provide those statistics for these "proven facts" you're referring to. Please don't make me make you look anymore stupid than you already look.. And, bodybuilders being morons? Please! Get real, that's what jealous people say for no darn good reason. Just like in any hobby, there are bright people and not so bright people involved. However! To be a good nutritionist and bodybuilder you've got to have some brains and some education behind you unless you're a genetic freak. Please keep this incident isolated and don't try to use one single incident to promote your jealousy driven agenda.

Now unfortunately, the situation does look bad for Titus, and as a person who has many friends in law enforcement, I'm a firm believer that cops don't arrest you unless they have darn good reason to suspect you and believe they can prove you guilty. Its an unfortunate event because there were many people who looked up to Titus, but in the end, if he's guilty I guess he's a scum bag who has exposed himself for what he really is.

i think there innocent until proven guilty , i've known craig for several years now , no maybe not as long as most . but i thought he was a cool guy , him and kelly both ,i cant imagine them throwing it allll away for " what ". i am alittle disappionted about the fact that they let themseves fall victim to this type of situation and a victim's life being the result of senseleess,careless behavior . look how hard they had to work in a sport that you get very little in return for your hard work in the gym, to lose it all in a senseless act , those two lived the life that only few in this sport reach , having money , contracts ,property , nice house and cars ect,ect . i just wish that they could of open there eye's to the fact that the most important things in each others life was one another,family and joey. nothing is worth the cost of freedom, nothing ! my heart goes out to the victims family for having to go thru such a thing during , what suppose to be one of the happiest times of the year .but one thing is for certain that i have total faith in and thats the word of the "BIBLE" when it says your " SINS WILL FIND YOU OUT" , in other words the truth will present itself and whooever really did this will pay for there sin !

I was a friend of Melissa James and I know how I am feeling right now and whoever wrote about if they were innocent and a true freind then they would of notifyed police and told them how to get in touch with them had they really had plans just to go up for the holidays I find that alittle strange. Melissa trusted and thought these were nice people to and look what happened. Just because you meet someone and think there nice does not mean they do not have a bad or mean side.I send out prayers for all of the families involved. James's family because they lost someone very special and dear and for the titus and ryan and gross family because they are having to face that there children could of done something so terribly. I hope the truth comes out and Justice will b e served. As for all of you saying how bad it is that people are talking about them as they are guilty and talking about them bad how about how they have talked about Melissa- saying she died of drug overdose or how she stole from them and stole her car and was having an affair with craig. she is not here to tell her side thanks to someone!

I truly do not think any of these factoids or steroids come into play if this couple is truly to blame or innocent for this crime. Let's work on the real facts folks.

Unfortunately, the wild life and the estranged people that connect with the bodybuilding and party communities combined with instint gratification of information seekers on the internet, have made this entire due-process into a mess. I can't believe that internet is playing such a role in the fait of these two people. I wish them the best recieving a fair trial, or if proven innocent, a fair life in return.
