Do you know Titus and Ryan?

am
I am looking into the lives of Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan: well known professional bodybuilders who are suspects in a Las Vegas murder case I've been following in this space. For better or worse, fairly or (probably) not, the case has really focused attention locally on the closed world of professional bodybuilding. Many of you who have left comments here on the Buffet knew the couple personally and, I very much want to hear from you about your experiences with Titus and Ryan. Many of these, especially ones that make accusation's about the suspects' personal lives, I'm afraid we are unable to post here. But please, if you have information you'd like to share, e-mail me at MovableBuffet@aol.com And expect more on the Buffet on this case and the high profile suspects. After the jump, we have pictures of Titus and Ryan from their arraignment in Stoughton, Mass.

Anyone hae any sympathy for the victim of these two beasts?

I knew Melissa James from high school and I am very upset about her death. Her family and friends are in my prayers.

Melissa James at one time, was a very positive influence on the youth in our community. She owned and operated the only dance studio for girls and boys on the Panama City Beach, Florida. She was a organized, reliable, talented and a patient young lady. It is a sad day to break the news to the children who have such fond memories of her. My heart goes out to her family. She will always be remembered for the good she has done here.

I knew Kelly in college and I have to admit I am purely shocked at this turn of events. I didn't even recognize her in People magazine -- lots of plastic surgery. She was nothing less than and adorable, kind-hearted and likable girl when I knew her. I am not involved with the body-building community but I have heard that this Titus guy is a "loser" (nice or not)...Lots of drugs and issues in his past. It would not surprise me if, once with Titus, Kelly got caught up in all the fame & fortune, and involved in drugs (steroids or whatever) and therefore, landed in this ill-fated situation. If they are responsible for this underserving Melissa's death, then they should face the music. I just hope it's him and not her in the big picture. She truly is/was a great, non-violent person.

Love and Compassion to all who have lost a cherished daughter ,friend. This is a terrible act of violence. I do believe justice will prevail. It it so sad to hear people who are talking so negatively about bodybuiding. It certainly has worked for many of us for years. So please don't generalize about the sport and its community. Truth shall set you free!

I live in Malaysia. Let's not forget that everyone is innocent until proven guilty! All these innuendoes and accusations before the matter has gone to trial is unhealthy and could prejudice the trial. Both accused deserves a fair trial and what appears on the surface may not quite be what it seems.
I'm concerned that the American judicial system could be vitiated by all these speculations. Let Titus and Ryan have their day in court. Only if they are found guilty do we have the right to pillory them on the stakes of public opinion.

I do know Kelly's brother and sister-in-law, and understand that the murderous actions of Kelly and Craig have destroyed the marriage of Kelly's brother, Mike as well, and have led to the death of Kelly's mom in California from the stress of this unfortunate and tragic event.

I went to high school with Kelly and her brother Mike. This is a deep tragedy for me because I remember the real, un-corrupted Kelly Ryan who was the nicest girl in our school.
I believe Kelly fell victim to hidden, underlying self esteem issues / obsessive drive in the transformation from the Kelly of my high school years to the 48 Hours Kelly of today. Maybe, with God's help, she can find her way back.
I pray for all involved.
